Quilly’s RV Parks was founded by father and daughter pair Orrin and Katie McLeod. When Katie was a child the whole family spent time together exploring nature by RVing or camping. This bloomed into a lifelong passion.

Katie’s passion for hospitality and human connection was shaped by years of living and traveling abroad, where she met her husband, Leo. Fun fact: although Leo is Brazilian, the two actually met while living in China—proof that meaningful connections can happen anywhere in the world.
With degrees in family and marriage counseling and a background in teaching, Katie has always been drawn to people and their stories. When she returned to the United States, she knew she wanted to build something that brought people together in a genuine, meaningful way. Combining her lifelong love of camping and the outdoors with her passion for connection, Quilly’s RV Parks was born—a place where guests can Chill at the Quill and let everyday worries melt away.
Together, Katie and Leo created parks centered on community, comfort, and unforgettable guest experiences. Nothing brings Katie more joy than seeing kids running freely through the parks, fishing in the ponds, exploring nature, and disconnecting from technology. You’ll often find her doing a little of everything—answering phones, helping guests, fishing, or serving fish at weekly happy hours.
Katie and Leo believe an RV park should feel less like a stopover and more like a gathering place. When you arrive at Quilly’s, you’re welcomed like an old friend—and invited to become part of the Quilly’s family.
After raising four children, they became empty nesters in 2022 and embraced a new season of life rooted in travel, connection, and hospitality. With over 10 years of experience owning and operating a successful lawn care company—serving more than 90 yards a week during peak season—they bring a strong work ethic and an incredible eye for detail to everything they do.
Keith is often on the move around the park, escorting guests to their sites, keeping the grounds beautifully maintained, and making sure every guest has the best stay possible. Danelle is known for her warmth and personal touch—she remembers guests by name, along with their children, grandchildren, and pets, making everyone feel instantly at home.
Full-time RVers since 2019, Keith and Danelle truly understand the needs of today’s travelers and combine their customer service background with firsthand RV experience to create a comfortable, welcoming environment. They can’t wait to welcome you, make you feel like family, and invite you to experience the heart of Quilly’s Big Fish RV Park.
Born and raised right here in Vicksburg, Brooklyn knows the area inside and out—and she’s proud to be raising her four children in the same community she calls home.
Brooklyn joined the Quilly’s family in 2021 when the park was purchased by Katie, and through hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for people, she steadily climbed the ranks to become park manager. What she loves most about the outdoor hospitality industry is the people: meeting guests from all over the country (and the world), hearing their stories, and making sure every stay feels welcoming, comfortable, and memorable.
She finds immense satisfaction in creating a great guest experience and showing visitors what true Southern hospitality is all about—friendly, thoughtful, and always with a smile. When she’s not at the park, you’ll likely find her cheering on her kids at their sporting events. Her children mean the world to her, and she especially values working at a family-run campground that understands real life—so much so that she was even able to bring her baby to work for nearly the first year of his life.

Our Mascot
When I think about camping, I think about the animals you see along the way. One animal I’ve always loved—and saw often while camping—was the porcupine. They’re spread throughout North America, including Texas and Mississippi, so they felt like the perfect fit.
Quilly is a North American porcupine, the mascot of our parks, and my bestie. He represents nature, camping, and the simple joy of slowing down and enjoying the outdoors—just like we hope you do when you stay with us.
